62% of Black students drop out of college. 54.8% of Hispanic students drop out of college. 38% of Caucasian students drop out of college. The dropout rates for minority students are almost 20% higher than that of Caucasian students. O.N.E.'s initiatives are designed to make sure that this isn't the case at Babson. We focus on the integration, empowerment, and respect for each of these individuals, making sure that they know they have a place at this institution.
ONE is an organization dedicated to spreading cultural education, awareness, and tolerance within the Babson community and we strive to create a community that will exemplify this quality and carries its message. As an organization, we have created a community on campus where people can express their cultures freely and have these differences celebrated.
Our crowdfunding campaign is to continue to support our endeavors in expanding the minority groups on campus and bridge the gaps between other communities. We want to continue seeing marginalized individuals graduate and become leaders in their respective industries. We strive to empower those same individuals to BE the best version of themselves. O.N.E. is a unique organization to Babson College, and we recognize its importance and value, we want to use this money to continue to spread this message and make others realize the importance and value of our efforts.
We would like to highlight that any amount is a huge help. We appreciate all the support that current students, faculty and staff, and alumni have had over the years!
